Caught!

It happened last night.

Dzhokar Tsarnaev, the second suspect in Monday's Boston Marathon bombing, was apprehended  after a Watertown resident spied him hiding in a boat in his, the resident's, own backyard and alerted authorities.  Law enforcement surrounded the house and, after a  few hours and an exchange of gunfire, took Tsarnaev alive.  Tsarnaev had wounds he'd received in an earlier gun battle with police and was taken to an area hospital where he was listed in serious condition.  He remains in serious condition today.

I'm thrilled that this suspect was caught pretty quickly and ALIVE, unlike his older brother/accomplice, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who was killed in the shootout with law enforcement that wounded Dzhokar.  Since suspect #2 is alive hopefully we'll get all the answers to not only how but why the brothers carried out the April 15th attacks.  Actually, we really already know why they did it.

According to news reports, the brothers, especially Tamerlan, had become radical Muslims after being largely moderate, Americanized Muslims before.  Radical Muslims hate the "decadent" West, believe all infidels must be killed, converted, or subjugated, and regard America as the Great Satan, the obstacle to the global triumph of Islam.  Dzhokar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev appear to have been sold out to such a belief system.  That's why they bombed the Boston Marathon.  We know this, despite Obama's plea for Americans not to jump to conclusions about the brothers' motives (wonder if Obama would've made such a plea if the brothers were Christians). 

The real questions we need answered now pertain to logistics, not motives.  Did the brothers act alone?  If not, who and where are their accomplices?  Are they part of a large or small group?  Did they receive training in explosives here or overseas?  Is attacking soft targets like the Boston Marathon now going to be Muslim terrorists' new m.o. in America?  This is what we need to know now, and I have complete confidence that law enforcement will get the answers.

Note to Muslim terrorists:  whatever plans you had, your new plan should be to get the hell out of dodge.  Americans aren't going to take your crap.  We'll take you alive if we need information, otherwise, kill us, especially our children, and you DIE.  As dead as Osama ben Laden.  As dead as Tamerlan Tsarnaev.  And as dead as Dzhokar Tsarnaev will one day be.

What getting bin Laden was all about.

I learned last night, along with the rest of the country and the world, that Osama bin Laden, mastermind of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on America, was killed by American special forces in a stunningly successful raid on his compound in Pakistan. Osama bin Laden is dead. Repeat, the rat who engineered the slaughter of 3000 American men, women, and children is DEAD!!!! This is a glorious day for America! Here's how things went down.

American intelligence received a tip back in August that bin Laden might be holed up in a Pakistani compound. Over the next several months US intelligence agents painstakingly gathered more information to make sure that bin Laden really was in that compound. Finally, the rat's presence in Pakistan was confirmed and Sunday the president green lighted a commando raid to capture or kill him. The Navy SEALS killed him, shooting bin Laden in the face. The last thing this murderer of Americans saw before he died was an American pointing a gun in his face. SWEET! And after his execution, the world's chief Muslim terrorist was buried at sea. Osama bin Laden sleeps with the fishes. Again, SWEET!!!!

The killing of bin Laden is a huge victory in our war against radical Islam, and it show cased the bravery and professionalism of America's armed forces. The credit for getting Osama goes entirely to our great military. Every American should feel immense pride in our special forces. This very dangerous raid was conducted without one American casualty. It was a flawless operation. Almost.

I do have one problem with the Osama operation, and that is Osama's burial at sea so soon after his demise. I'm very upset that the US military gave bin Laden a Muslim burial, complete with a body washing and a Muslim service, on board a US aircraft carrier before dumping his body at sea. Specifically, I'm upset that this burial was done, in part, to show--ugh!--sensitivity to Muslims. This sensitivity thing was also the reason Obama ordered a commando raid on Osama's compound instead of bombing the place. He felt a commando raid would make it easier to avoid civilian casualties. Again, ugh!

Why are we addicted to the delusion that we can earn radical Muslims' goodwill? Why do we continue this malignant obsession with trying to curry favor with Muslims? When are we going to admit it doesn't work, not even with "moderate" Muslims? We change our tactics, putting our own troops in increased danger, in order to protect Muslim civilians; we strive to show respect for Islamic law; we assert repeatedly that we're not at war with Islam yet, Muslims still hate and condemn us. Our deferment to Islamic burial customs didn't prevent the likes of Hamas, a major Egyptian imam, and Pakistan's ex-president, Musharraf, from condemning our killing of Osama. When will we face facts?

We will never win over Muslims, radical or "moderate", so we should stop trying. We should do what's necessary to defend ourselves, paying no regard to Muslim sensibilities. A respecful burial, in line with the customs of his faith, was uncalled for and something bin Laden was totally unworthy of. We shamed ourselves by giving him that honor and by continuing to believe the false promise of political correctness. Still, the burial is the only fault I can find with the demise of one of the dirtiest human beings on the planet. On Sunday, May 1, America got her man. We brought a mass murderer of our people to justice, Navy SEALs justice. The rat is finally dead. Good riddance and God bless America.

Just In Time For The Holidays

We've all heard about. Here's my take on what the TSA has in store for the travelling public just in time for the holidays.

I don't fly. I have flown in the past but I don't like it and haven't done it in about 10 years, so the TSA's new security measures aren't going to affect me any time soon. Still, I've been following the controversy and I think the body scans and pat-downs are a bit outrageous.

Yes, I want Americans to be protected from terrorism. As a supporter in limited government I believe that such protection is one of the federal government's few responsibilities, but the TSA's security measures just doesn't past the smell test to me. They're questionable on several levels.

First, the measures are just so intrusive. You have to submit to being virtually stripped by a machine or groped by a stranger in order to get on a plane. And if you refuse you can be fined $11,000! That's the second problem I have with this situation. The TSA is being quite heavy handed and arrogant toward the public. It reminds me of the way anti-Obamacare protestors were held in contempt by elected officials. Once again the government is copping an arrogantly paternalistic we're-going-to-force-you-to-do-what-we-know-is-best attitude. The TSA isn't listening to the people's concerns and that's creating as much anger as the intrusive security measures themselves.

The third problem with the TSA's new policy is that it puts TSA employees in an unfair situation. Imagine it's your job to "protect" the public by looking at the naked bodies of and/or fondling the "junk" of thousands of strangers. Now imagine that a lot of those strangers deeply resent what you're doing. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that TSA employees could come in for some abuse from those strangers. Now, that shouldn't happen. The TSA workers are just doing their job and they shouldn't bear the brunt of the public's ire. Unfortunately, the government has put them in this unenviable position, and it could've been avoided if the feds had some courage. And that brings me to the most offensive problem with these security measures: they're a capitulation to political correctness.

Let's face it. The current admininstration is obsessed with not offending Muslims. So obsessed that it'll design "security" policies for Americans with "sensitivity" to Muslims in mind. Thus, the TSA's new security actions treat all fliers as if they pose an equal threat to America; they don't. Muslims--especially young, Middle Eastern, male, Muslims--are the likeliest perpetrators of terrorism today. But rather than acknowledge that fact the TSA implements anti-terrorism procedures so that Muslims don't feel--gasp!--profiled.

Ah, yes. Profiling! The most heinous act of racial oppression known to man, based on the way liberals react to it. Profiling Muslims is certainly worse than Muslims actually murdering Americans. Even if the profiling is based on behavior and not race, as the Israelis do it, it's still unacceptable to the PC whipped crowd. Why? Most likely because behavior-based profiling would still nab a lot of terrorist wannabes named Ahmed. So, the TSA strains to avoid profiling of any type, and opts instead to subject all American fliers to fondling and/or a virtual strip search. Fondling, strip searches, and privacy violations. All brought to you by your friendly federal government.

Just in time for the holidays.

The Great Liberal Hope

It wasn't a "teabagger".

Despite the Left's desperate hope that the terrorist wannabe who tried to blow up Times Square was a Tea Party devotee, he turned out to be a--surprise!--Muslim with the usual jihadi chip on his shoulder. It wasn't supposed to be that way. NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg opined Monday that the Times Square bomber was probably some home grown, disturbed individual upset about Obamacare. Not so much, and the Left is distraught. MSNBC anchorwoman Contessa Brewer gave perhaps the most eloquent voice to liberal dismay.

Speaking on The Stephanie Millier Show Brewer whined, "There was a part of me that was hoping this was not going to be anybody with ties to any kind of Islamic country. Because there are a lot of people who want to use terroist intent to justify writing off people who believe in a certain way or come from certain countries or whose skin color is a certain way. I mean they use it as a justification for really outdated bigotry."

First, who is this "they" who supposedly use "terrorist intent" to justify racism? Second, what race, religion, ethnicity, or nationality would Brewer have preferred the Times Square bomber to be? We know the answers to these questions. The "they" are Republicans/conservatives who dare to call Islamic terrorism what it is and lay the blame for it on Islam. And Brewer would've been estactic if TS Boy had been a white, male, Christian who had attended a Tea Party protest. That would've conformed perfectly to liberals' narrative of evil white, anti-Obama, Tea Partiers.

You see, liberals don't need proof of the wickedness of the Tea Party movement. They just know that the movement and its participants are dangerous. Still, proof would be nice. That is the great liberal hope, to find a smoking gun that reveals beyond question the violent, malicious nature of those white, Tea Party folks. Liberals thought they had such a smoking gun in Amy Bishop, the biology professor who murdered three of her fellow profs at the University of Alabama in February. Bishop, however, turned out to be an Obama supporter.

The next candidate for the great liberal hope was Joseph A. Stack, who flew his plane into an IRS building in Austin, TX in February. A ha! An anti-tax protestor! This guy had to be involved in the Tea--Taxed Enough Already--Party movement. The smoking gun at last! But it was not to be. Joseph Stack turned out to be a left-wing extremist who railed against capitalism and organized religion as much as against taxes. Stack had nothing to do with the Tea Party movement. The smoking gun the liberals longed for proved a dud.

And then came the Times Square almost attack.

Hope burned brightly again for liberals but the flame almost instantly flickered out. The Times Square bomber wannabe turned out to be a TOTALLY unpc suspect. A Muslim, an immigrant, a person of color, everything that their dogma orders liberals to embrace. And, as Brewer showed, they did.

The Times Square would be bomber has been given sympathetic treatment by at least some in the lame stream media. They can't help it. Their worldview won't let them treat TS Boy any other way. If a Muslim, immigrant, and/or person of color commits a crime it's never his fault, at least not his fault alone. White, Western, Christian culture is the real culprit, the real threat. Liberals know this; they just lack the proof that will convince the rest of us. So they keep on hoping for the advent of the unmistakable sign that they are right.

One day, liberals believe, a white guy with a Tea Party t-shirt will blow something up and they will be there to exploit the carnage for political gain. That's what liberals want. A terrorist attack by a white guy, someone they can condemn. That is their great hope, and it's sick.

This Wasn't Supposed To Happen!

The attempted bombing of an American airplane on Christmas Day really shook me up when I heard about it. I had family that flew in for the holiday on Christmas Day and I shuddered at the thought that that could've been their plane. But this wasn't supposed to happen.

When Barack Obama was elected president we were told that he would restore America's standing in the world. Obama would close Gitmo, ban "torture" of detained terrorists, brown nose Muslims, surrender in Iraq and engage in unconditional diplomacy with our enemies. This would show the world that Obama's America had repudiated the "cowboy diplomacy" of Bush and was now ready to submit to the world community. Peace and harmony would follow. But something happened on the way to Utopia.

Three times now, Muslim terrorists have killed or attempted to kill Americans on Obama's watch. Apparently, having brown skin, spending part of his childhood in Muslim Indonesia, and not being Bush hasn't impressed the jihadis. Imagine that. Gee, maybe that means something. Maybe that means Islamic terrorists are motivated by oh, I don't know, Islam, and won't be dissuaded from their murderous mission by a grovelling appeaser, not even a Black one.

I don't know what the Anointed One is going to do to combat terrorism now that his mere presence has proven ineffective at the job. I DO know that he'd better snap out of his egomania and PC stupor real fast. The jihadis are already promising more attacks, and if what's not supposed to happen happens again it won't be pretty for the terrorists...nor Obama.

A Recipe For Victory...

...for our enemies.

I didn't watch Barack Obama's Afghanistan speech last night; I didn't think I could stomach it, and one thing I've heard about the speech has confirmed that thought.

Barack Obama, our great and fearless leader, did announce that he's sending 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan, 10,000 fewer than General McChrystal asked for. However, he also said that America would begin withdrawing those troops in 18 months, presumably without any regard to conditions on the ground. Did you get that? We're going to put in more troops then yank them out according to the date on the calendar, NOT what's necessary for victory.

Now, I'm no general. I'm no military strategist. But even I know that you can't win a war by telling your enemy that you're fighting by the clock. I mean, what does Obama think al Qaeda and the Taliban will do? See his "good will" and throw down their arms? No! They'll lay low for the next year and a half and then take over again once our troops withdraw. Duh!

Then it will be back to square one: the Taliban running Afghanistan and jihadis running their training camps under Taliban protection. What an achievement.

But that's probably what Obama really wants. After all, he cut his political teeth on the hard Left, where hating America is de rigueur. Obama sat for twenty years in a God damn America, Black liberation church. He launched his political career in the home of radical Left terrorist Bill Ayers. He was friends for years with far-left "priest" Father Pfleger who thundered from the pulpit that America was the greatest sin against God. Obama immersed himself in that world. Can we really be surprised that he governs from its America-is-the-problem paradigm?

Barack Obama is like a gay man married to a woman. He's trying to act like what he's not--a patriotic moderate--but his true far-left nature continuously slips out. Eventually Obama will succumb completely to his true self and plunge head first into promiscuous leftism. Oh, wait, he's there already; his speech last night proved that. Last night at West Point, our nation's most prestigious military academy, Barack Obama delivered a recipe for victory...for our enemies.

Trying KSM

I was going to write a thoughtful piece on the travesty of Obama treating the mastermind of 9-11 like a common criminal and his act of war like a common crime, but I was a little too discombobulated--spelling?--by all the craziness going on in our great nation. Besides, the above photo "says" exactly how I feel about Obama and his KSM outrage. What a sorry excuse for a president.

Islamic Terrorism At Fort Hood

It was terrorism.

No, officialdom hasn't yet labeled it as such, but the massacre of 13 soldiers at Fort Hood this past Thursday was an act of domestic Islamic terrorism. This is the second act of Islamic terrorism on American soil since Obama took office, and the deadliest one since 9-11. But no one among the powers that be seems to have the courage to call this rampage what it is.

As I've thought over these last few days about the horror at Fort Hood, I've concluded that what scares and angers me the most is seeing the iron grip that political correctness has on our society and all its most important institutions.

Major Nidal Malik Hasan, the army psychiatrist and Muslim who slaughtered our soldiers at Fort Hood, had given plenty of clues that he was heading off the radical Muslim cliff. He had complained that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were unjust to Muslims and feared his upcoming deployment. He had said he was Muslim first and American second. He said he believed Muslims shouldn't kill other Muslims. And he had reportedly left jihadi style rhetoric on the internet. These things by themselves might not be too much case for alarm but taken together they had up to a HUGE red flag. Why didn't the military pick up on it? Most likely for the same reason that most politicians and news folks haven't called what Hasan did terrorism.

In the PC world of the Left, where many politicians and virtually all journalists live, Muslims are a protected group. Being non-White, non-Western, and non-Christian they are regarded as oppressed and are cut tremendous slack and given a huge pass. Every effort is made to be sensitive to their feeling. Violence by Muslims is to be understood, not condemned. And under no circumstances are Muslims generally to be condemned for the actions of a few. This politically correct paradigm is the main reason why the rampage at Fort Hood hasn't been called terrorism. But I think there's another reason, too. Officialdom has resisted labeling Nidal Malik Hasan's crime Islamic terrorism for political reasons. They want to protect the reputation of Barack Obama and his smarmy policy of peace through appeasement.

Obama, you may recall, went on his now notorious I'm Sorry To Be An American Tour of the Muslim world shortly after becoming president. His grovelling to Muslims was supposed to usher in a new era of "mutual respect" and peace between America and the Islamic world. It didn't. Islamic terrorism has continued and has now struck twice on American soil since Obama took possession of the Oval Office. The first act of domestic Islamic terrorism under Obama was the June 1st murder of Pvt. William Long by Muslim convert Carlos Bledsoe, aka Abdulhakim Muhammad. The second act of domestic Islamic terrorism under Obama was the horror at Fort Hood on Thursday. That attack, I repeat, was the deadliest Islamic attack on the homeland since 9-11.

I fear that more attacks from radical Muslims are coming. They are coming because we now have in Washington a crew who won't do what's necessary to stop them. The first president to treat Islamic terrorism as the war that it is was savagely maligned for doing so. Now we have a president who thinks that "soft power",i.e. appeasement, will calm the savage Muslim beast. Well, Nidal Malik Hasan and Abdulhakim Muhammad didn't get that memo. Waiting for the Islamofascists to become good boys and girls in response to our ass kissing is going to cost more Americans their lives. Next time it may be a shopping mall, commuter train, or school that gets hit. Don't expect the Anointed One and his policies to be held accountable, though, when they strike again. Don't expect the terrorists to be held accountable, either. It'll be Bush's fault; that's liberal officialdom's prime way of absolving Obama of responsibility for anything bad. Protecting Obama, not America, is all that progressives, including Obama himself, really care about. More dead Americans in the homeland are on the way.

Heaven help us.

Tribute To The Fallen At Fort Hood

I'm not yet ready to write on the horror that occured at Fort Hood yesterday. I found this AWESOME song on a blog called Power and Control. It was posted to honor the victims of the evil and cowardly act that transpired Thursday. I'm putting this song on PGZ also to honor the dead and wounded at Fort Hood and in all of the military in this time of war. So listen up, here's some real manly and patriotic rock'n'roll. It'll cheer you and scare the hell out of that jihadi trash!

But What About The Children?

Today in Afghanistan the Taliban killed eight American soldiers with roadside bombs, helping to make this October the deadliest month for the US since the war began. This is sad, and my heart goes out to the soldiers' families, but on Fox News I learned that some Afghan civilians, including children, were also killed in these attacks. Now my question is this: where are all the peace activists and Muslims who always raise a hue and cry when ever children are killed by Americans?

Muslims and their left-wing, "anti-war" allies, opposed the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan largely because of supposed concern over the fate of civilians, especially children. In order to ensure the safety of civilians, and to ass kiss the Muslim world, Barack Obama has instituted idiotic rules of engagement for our brave troops in Afghanistan. Put simply, our ground forces are not, repeat NOT, allowed to call in air support if civilians are in the area. You don't need a Phd to know that, in order to protect themselves, the Taliban will hide behind civilians, including children, as they attack our soldiers. But increasing the danger for our troops is apparently acceptable to our appeaser-in-chief. We must not give even the appearance of not caring about Muslim civilians, yet the Taliban kill Muslim children and the 'ummah is silent. And so are the pacifists.

This silence reveals the truth about the Muslims and the "pacifists". They are NOT against war, terrorism, or violence of any kind. What they are against is American power. For them, "peace" means "the absence of American power on the world stage", as conservative journalist Mark Steyn aptly put it. Any act of violence whose goal is to obstruct or defeat American power is acceptable to Muslims and the Left. And the killing of civilians, including children, is forgivable if said killings occur in pursuit of that goal. Civilian deaths are unforgivable only when they happen at the hands of Americans. For Muslims and the "anti-war" Left American power is the only evil in the world. They will effect any outrage necessary to contain or defeat it.

So, what about the children? Nothing, because Muslims and the Left have nothing to gain from making a fuss over Muslims killing Muslim children. Such killings don't arouse fierce opposition to American power. Muslim children were murdered today by Muslim fanatics and the Muslim world and its friends said nothing. And that speaks volumes.

The Torture Con

The torture con is out at last!

As our great and glorious Speaker of the House lies about what she knew and when she knew it on waterboarding, ALL liberals' sanctimonious outrage over the Bush admininstration's use of enhanced interrogation techniques is looking more and more like what it really is: an Academy Award level performance.

Leftists continuously bleat that they're opposed to "torture", especially waterboarding, of terror suspects at Gitmo and elsewhere. They claim that such tactics are a violation of international law and America's values, not to mention unacceptably brutal. And they are against them, they tell us, against them! But that is a big, fat con! Don't think so? Then consider this.

The United States Armed Forces waterboards some of its soldiers as part of their training. I have not heard a word against this practice from the "anti-torture" liberals. Yet, if waterboarding is as atrocious and inhumane as liberals say it is, you'd think that the last people they'd want waterboarded are our troops. But there's only deafening silence from liberals on this issue. The very people who are so aggrieved over the "torture" of three Muslim nutjobs have nothing to say against the same "torture" being used on American soldiers by the American military. What does this mean? Either liberals know that waterboarding isn't torture and are saying it is just for political gain OR liberals just don't give a damn about American soldiers. I think it's answer number two. What say you?

And I have a couple of more questions about this "torture" stuff.

Some lefties have claimed that, in addition to waterboarding, Gitmo detainees were tortured with sleep deprivation and/or loud music. During the Branch Davidian standoff in Waco in 1993, the government subjected the Davidians to what it called "psychological warfare". That warfare included bombarding the Davidians' compound with floodlights and loud noise in order to deprive them of sleep. So, if disrupting a terrorist's sleep is torture why wasn't it torture to disrupt the sleep of dozens of innocent American men, women, and children? Why aren't the anti-torture liberals demanding truth commissions for all the government officials involved in the seige against David Koresh and his followers? Could it be because the Davidian seige occurred during a liberal Democrat's presidency? Uh...yeah!

And then there's Terri Schiavo. If you recall, Terri Schiavo was the comatose woman who, after a long legal battle between her husband and parents, was disconnected from her feeding tube and died per her husband's wishes. Many of the left-wing types who are now so apoplectic about torture supported the killing of Miss Schiavo. In their bizarro world, Muslim fanatics must feel no physical discomfort whatsoever, but a disabled woman can be denied sustenance until she dies. That's not torture in the liberals' book, especially if the woman is White, American, and/or Jewish or Christian.

I think the three cases above illustrate that liberals don't really care about torture. Their push to punish Bush administration officials is about undermining America from within. Many liberals believe that America is the real problem in the world and has no moral right to self-defense. Fighting "torture" is a way for the fifth column Left to sabotage that defense and aid and abet our enemies. That's what this whole "torture" thing is really about, and it's DESPICABLE!

Dear President Obama,

Just a note to say thank you for your tireless effort in supporting our cause. As I'm sure you know, our organization has been around for a long time, and we've had many obstacles along the way. Though we have many members not everyone is "on board" with our program. Some are just not as receptive to our agenda as others. This alone has made our success more difficult and challenging, but our persistence and resolve has carried us a long way. Now, with your help, many of the hurdles we've encountered over the years have been removed in most cases, or reduced in others. Your predecessor was not "down" with our cause and proved to be a major impediment to our goals. Whenever we would try to put together a new project, he would find some way to throw the proverbial "wrench" into our works. It seemed that no matter what direction we would turn, he and his associates would be there waiting to deter our progress.

When we heard of your election, it was like a breath of fresh air. A collective sigh of relief could be heard throughout our organization. We knew our efforts to ensure your election were not in vain, and we regret we could not do more to help your campaign. Thanks to the policies that you have already instituted our group has seen a major resurgence in both recruiting and "R & D". Your proposed policies have given us the shot in the arm we've needed for some years now, and our hopes for the future have never been brighter. Your cabinet appointments along with those of other key positions are nothing less than a Godsend to us. I'd Love To Be Waterboarding

Torture! Torture! Torture!

For over seven years the American Left has had more fun than the law allows flinging the above accusation at the Bush admininstration's enhanced interrogation techniques. Now the Obama admininstration has released various "torture" memos and the Left's desire to punish Bush for protecting America has been enflamed. Obama, ever the consummate leader, waffled on the punishment issue. First he claimed no interest in prosecuting Bush officials then, under pressure from his far-left base, Obama said prosecutions weren't off the table and then, after polls showed most Americans opposed any prosecutions of Bush officials, Dear Leader returned to his original position. It remains to be seen if this will be Obama's final stand on this emotional issue. But I'm not really concerned about that. What concerns and appalls me is what the zealous desire for prosecutions reveals about the Left.

As I've watched and listened to the "torture" controversy on tv I've become more convinced than ever that progressives simply oppose the defense of this country. That's the only thing that explains their militant commitment to punishing the people who successfully protected us from terrorism for seven years.

I've listened to the liberals' side of the story. I've heard their assertions that Bush's policies made America less safe by ruining our image abroad and providing a recruitment tool to the terrorists. I've heard their claims that Bush violated the Constitution and that, as a nation of laws, America must bring the Bush-era perpetrators of "torture" to justice. I've listened to this stuff and I can't believe it's asserted by what are supposed to be intelligent people. Here's my rebuttal.

Yes, America is a nation of laws and a nation that DOES NOT TORTURE. What was done to the enemy combatants at Gitmo wasn't torture. If the lefties would get off the Kool-Aid they'd know from the "torture" memos themselves that the United States went to great lengths to ensure the detainees suffered no lasting physical or emotional damage from the interrogation techniques. That's not what you do when you're really torturing people. When you torture your aim is to inflict horrendous pain and suffering on the prisoner to make him talk. You're not trying to simply make him uncomfortable.

The Gitmo interrogators certainly wanted the detainees to be more than just uncomfortable. They wanted the enemy to feel pain, but not horrendous pain. The interrogators used relatively mild techniques such as sleep deprivation and the now notorious waterboarding. They didn't pull out detainees' finger nails, electric shock their genitals, burn them, feed them to lions, inject gasoline into their veins, or gang rape their wives and daughters in front of them. Our disciplined interrogators did none of those things but you wouldn't know that from the cacophony of condemnation heaped on them by progressives. Which leads me to my next point.

I'm actually frightened of the strident anger progressives have over the "torture" that occurred at Gitmo. A grand total of three Gitmo detainees were waterboarded and the Left is apoplectic about it. Yet I don't remember them getting this worked up over the beheading of Daniel Pearl. I don't remember them getting this incensed over the beheading of Nicholas Berg. Even 9/11 didn't produce the amount of outrage among liberals that the waterboarding of those three Muslim fanatics has. This tells me that leftists just don't value American lives. In their paradigm it's worse for an American to "torture" a terrorist than it is for a terrorist to actually murder an American. I truly believe that view is what's really driving progressives' obsession with Gitmo and their malevolent desire to prosecute the patriots who protected us. Liberals just don't believe that America is entitled to defend herself. They don't believe that America has a moral right to be right. That's what's really going on here.

And the Left's assertion that the enhanced interrogation techniques at Gitmo ruined America's image and gave the terrorists a recruitment tool is just ludicrous. Ill will toward America existed long before Gitmo opened and it will continue long after Gitmo is closed. America has been called the Great Satan--about as low as you can go on the popularity totem pole--by Iran for decades. Millions of non-Iranian Muslims heartily share that sentiment. Muslim terrorists have been attacking America and American interests at least since Sirhan Sirhan assasinated RFK in 1968, decades BEFORE the Bush presidency. And they were able to recruit followers to their cause without the benefit of "torture" at Gitmo. Maybe the only recruitment tool Islamofascists need is Islam itself.

I'm sickened by liberals' obssession with prosecuting Bush administration officials. This isn't about justice or principle; it's about weakening America from within. As stated above, the Left believes America has no moral right to self-defense. Undermining our ability and willingness to fight is simply part of that belief. The objectives of our enemies are irrevelent; for progressives the only real enemy is America, and she must be stopped. And that's what their manufactured outrage over "torture" is really about. They're trying to handicap America with a false morality. The American people don't want politicized prosecutions and show trials. They want to be protected from those who would kill us. I'm one of those people. The progressives can work to tear down our defenses; they can cling to their delusion that Bush is the enemy, but I know who the real enemy is and I'd love to be waterboarding.

Love That Judge!

Just when you thought defeatism was about to grab America by the throat thanks to Obama, a military judge with balls defied the appeaser-in-chief and refused to stop military tribunal proceedings against a Gitmo suspect.

Judge James Pohl on Thursday refused to halt the arraignment of Abu al-Nashiri, the alledged mastermind of the USS Cole bombing which killed 17 US sailors and injured 50 more. Judge Pohl said that delaying proceedings against al-Nashiri would harm "the public interest in a speedy trial". Frankly, I could care less if that's true or not. If Judge Pohl is defying Obama purely for political reasons that's alright with me. If he's defying the messiah because he's a military man and knows better than a liberal like Obama ever could just what kind of scum the terrorists are, that's even better. Either way I'm giving the judge a high five.

Pohl is taking a risk here. Two other military judges bowed to Obama's executive order and stopped trials against terror suspects. Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morell said Pohl will be "told to comply with" the order, too. Just how Judge Pohl will be "told" to obey isn't clear, but if the Pentagon is smart it'll leave Judge Pohl alone. Obama will, too. Judge James Pohl is doing what a military man is supposed to do: defend this country. If he's being hampered in that duty by an appeaser-in-chief beholden to the defeatist left he needs our support and our prayers.

I'm with you, Judge Pohl! You're now my boyfriend, along with Geert Wilders (ooooo, kinky!). Keep sticking it to all the Ramzi El Kabooms* unfortunate enough to fall into your hands. Not every American is an Obama loving defeatist. A lot of us still want the military to do what it's supposed to do: strike terror into the hearts of our enemies. Keep doing your bit, JP, to terrorize those stupid enough to touch a hair on an American's head. You've got my thumbs up, and God bless!

Ahhhhhhhhh!

That sound you heard was the collective sigh of relief from terrorists worldwide because they now have a friend in the White House.

Just three days into his administration Barack Obama has rushed to the NONdefense of America. With the stroke of a pen Obama kept a campaign promise to his treasonous, far-left base and signed an executive order to close Guantanamo prison within a year. Exactly where will the terrorists now housed at Gitmo go? The Sultan of Surrender hasn't figured that out yet. But since he's so loved in Hollywood maybe he can call up Brangelina and ask them if they'd take in some more deprived Third Worlders. This whole thing just makes me sick.

Obama hasn't been in power for a week and he's committed himself to dismantling the only successful anti-terror strategy America's ever had. His predecessors from Carter to Clinton treated terrorism as a law enforcement matter and we kept getting attacked; George W. Bush treated it as a war and kept this nation safe for seven years. And liberals will never forgive him for that.

Don't be fooled by liberals' squawking about human rights or restoring America's image; they care about neither. The libtards don't want Gitmo closed, military tribunals suspended, and warrantless witertapping stopped because they're commited to civil liberties or improving America's name abroad. No, what they want, what they crave like a starving wolf craves a deer, is defeat. They want defeat for America in Iraq. They want defeat for America in Afghanistan. They want defeat for America in the larger war on terror. And now they have a president who will give it to them.

Liberals will deny this, of course. They will actually try to claim that dismantling Bush's anti-terror policies will make America safer. If, they'll say, we're nice to the terrorists, give them rights, and try to understand them we'll look great to the Muslim world and the Islamic fanatics will be swayed to lay down their arms. And presto! no more terrorist attacks on the USA. Yeah, right. And I want to sell you fried ice cream.

As I've said before, liberals are wedded to a narrative that casts America as uniquely guilty and, therefore, unworthy of the moral right to be right. For liberals America, as Obama's pastor friend Michael Pfleger put it, needs to pay. They believe that America deserves violent blowback. The terrorists, then, aren't really the problem; they're just reacting to America's provocations and injustices against them. America is the problem and that's why liberals want Gitmo closed. We have no right to detain people who are simply giving us what we deserve. That's what the Left believes. That's what Obama believes. And that's why he ordered Guantanamo to close.

Jewish Shock and Awe!

And they're off!

After a week of punishing air strikes, Israel has finally launched its much needed ground offensive against the terrorist nest called the Gaza Strip. Hamas responded with jihadi bluster, claiming that Gaza would be a "graveyard" for Israel and threatening to kidnap Israeli soldiers. Typical. The ground invasion won't be short or easy, as Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak told his countrymen, but Israel's military might is more than enough to crush Hamas once and for all...if she has the resolve to do so. And that's where I'm a little worried.

Despite being surrounded by homicidal enemies on all sides, much of Israeli society seems to suffer from the same self-defeating, "humane" liberalism that infects so much of the West. This liberalism is epotimized by a loathing of violence in our own defense coupled with a pathetic eagerness to excuse violence used against us by our enemies. And when we--Westerners and Israelis--do defend ourselves we incessantly wring our hands over our enemy's civilian casualities. Never mind that our foes care nothing about our civilian casualties, or that such handwringing can impede victory. Showing the enemy they feel his pain is THE most important thing to the "humane" ones. Victory is distasteful to them and Israel appears to be showing signs of confusion in her objectives in Gaza.

Israel claims that its goal in this invasion is not to reoccupy Gaza but to destroy Hamas' terrorist infrastructure. But it seems impossible to permanently achieve the latter without doing the former. Israel has hinted she'd be open to a diplomatic solution in Gaza, provided that international monitors are sent to oversee Hamas' compliance with any cease fire agreement. Surely, though, Israel learned from her 2006 Lebanon fiasco that the international community can't be counted on to make Arab terrorists do anything. The UN was supposed to have disarmed Hezboallah at the end of the '06 Lebanon war but the Hez is still armed to the teeth today. No, the world will not do what needs to be done to save Jews.

If Israel wants Hamas destroyed she must do it herself. And if destroying Hamas means reoccupying Gaza and driving every Gazan Palestinian into the Sinai desert or the Mediterranean Sea, so be it. Israel must not send her sons into battle unless she's prepared to let them do whatever it takes to win. Israel must stop kowtowing to the opinion of a Jew hating world and make her own survival the only thing that matters. She must fight in Gaza until Hamas is utterly, irretrieviably destroyed and that lesson is not lost on the West Bank. I, for one, will be praying that God give Israel the strength and resolve to shatter her adversaries, as He did in the Old Testament.

Let the Jews arise and let their enemies be scattered!!!!

Mexican Students In FARC Camp

It's just been revealed that at least six Mexican nationals were in the FARC rebel camp attacked by Colombia last week. Five of the Mexicans were killed; the sixth, Lucia Morett, survived. Morett and one of the dead Mexicans, Juan Gonzalez del Castillo, were students at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (NAUM) and members of a radical, pro-FARC student group. Supposedly, that group had sent Morett and Gonzalez to study South America's oldest armed rebel movement but NAUM officials denied that. You can imagine what kind of "studying" Morett, Gonzalez and the other Mexicans were doing.

This is scary stuff, folks. Mexican radicals training--oops!--I mean studying with FARC terrorists and our southern border pourous as a sieve. How long before some of those "students" and their friends sneak into our country and begin causing havoc? The FARC is a Marxist terrorist group which bombs, murders, and kidnaps as a matter of course, and funds its operations through drug trafficing. There are reports that FARC has sought to buy sophisticated weapons from Lebanese terrorists and might've even been trying to get its hands on uranium. Mexicans who have been tutored by such ilk can't mean America any good.

Open borders fanatics, who insist on believing that all Mexicans sneaking into America are just good hearted poor folks looking for a job, need to get a reality check. Not all of the illegals are good hearted; not all are poor and not all are Mexican. Rather, what you have with the illegals is a witch's brew of drug trafficers, leftist revolutionaries, and international terrorists mixed in with the campesinos.

It's time to deal with illegal immigration once and for all. It's time to crackdown big time on businesses that employ illegals so the illegals will self-deport. It's time to withhold federal funds from sanctuary cities. It's time for Americans to boycott sanctuary cities: don't vacation in them, don't send your kids to college in them, don't hold your conventions in them, and don't relocate your business to them. And above all, it's time for Congress to stop bullshitting and build the damn fence--the REAL one--it promised us a year ago!

The Mexican students who were in the FARC camp are just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. There are plenty more where they came from, and they don't want to sing Kumbaya with us. If our elected officials wait until a nuclear tragedy strikes America before they act then they should be gathered up and shot. They would have betrayed this country in the most horrid way and would deserve nothing less than execution. Strong words, but these are deadly times and nobody in Washington seems up to the task of leading us through them. Oh, where is Churchill when we need him! Come back, Winston, come back!!

Oh! The Freakin' Torture!

Buried way in the back of my hometown paper was a little blurb about the hideous torture that the evil, wicked, lawless, Bush administration is inflicting on Guantanamo Bay detainees.

It seems that the evil, wicked, lawless Bush administration is breaking the Geneva Conventions and harming Gitmo captives by letting them--oh! I can't even say it!--celebrate Ramadan!!!! Yes, you read it right. The Muslims in Gitmo are being allowed to observe the fast during the "sacred" month of Ramadan. In accordance with the observance, the detainees are getting meals only before sunrise and after sunset. During the day they don't eat or drink anything; I think it's supposed to have something to do with learning spiritual discipline.

Can you imagine?! Damn that son of a Bush! How dare he let those prisoners follow their religion! Get me Human Rights Watch! I want the number to Amnesty International! We've got to put an end to this horror! Where are John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Cindy Sheehan, and Charles Rangel when you need them? Why doesn't The New York Times have every one of its reporters all over this? Why isn't Michael Moore down at Gitmo with his camera to get the evidence on film for future generations? Where, oh where, are all the lovers of human diginity, peace, and freedom?!

I'll tell you where they are. They're hiding under a rock, the hypocrites. Oh yes, they'll complain about prisoners being forced to listen to the Red Hot Chili Peppers in a cold room, but when it comes to real mistreatment like this, they're silent as church mice. The suffering the detainees are enduring as they practice their faith behind bars must be excruciating. Now I see why liberals hate Bush. Anyone who'd respect the religious rights of terrorists has got to be Hitler reborn. I'm glad I've finally seen the light.
