The Plot Thickens

So, some more interesting information emerges on Ground Zero mosque imam Feisal Abdel Rauf. According to reports on The O'Reilly Factor this past Monday and Tuesday, it's been discovered that Rauf has a relationship with one Faiz Khan, a Muslim 9/11 Truther. Talk about things that make you go, hmmmmm!

9/11 Truthers, as you may know, are people who believe that the attacks on September 11, 2001 were an inside job. They offer various reasons for that belief but the general Truther line is that the US government wanted to eliminate our Constitutional freedoms by engineering a massive crisis that would cause ultimate fear and have Americans clamoring for more government protection. Faiz Khan believes that, and why is he more troubling than the average Truther? He's a Muslim and his commitment to the 9/11 Truth movement is almost certainly motivated by a desire to absolve his religion of any responsibility for the September 11 terrorist attacks. And that's bad news for imam Rauf.

Imam Rauf deeply offended Americans by saying that America was an accessory to 9/11 and that Osama bin Laden was "made in America". He didn't deny Muslim involvement in the attacks but by imputing some blame for 9/11 to the US Rauf greatly damaged his credibility. And now it's revealed he has ties to an actual denier of Muslim responsibility for 9/11. And we're supposed to believe that that has nothing to do with Rauf's insistence on building a mosque at Ground Zero. Yeah, right.

Americans overwhelmingly oppose building a mosque at or near Ground Zero because that's where Muslims slaughtered 3000 of their fellow citizens and loved ones. Americans are highly and rightfully suspicious of anyone, particularly a Muslim, who downplays or outright denies the Islamic identity of the 9/11 terrorists. Feisal Abdel Rauf's close association with 9/11 Truther Khan gives us more than enough reason to question his motives. It's not Islamophobia that's fueling opposition to the Ground Zero mosque. It's the cloudy funding, inflammatory rhetoric and, now, radical associations of the supposedly moderate Muslim cleric who's spearheading it. The plot thickens indeed.

Burn, Baby, Burn?

By now everybody has heard of the Florida church that plans to burn Korans on the upcoming 9th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The burning, planned by Dove Outreach Center (DOC) and its pastor Terry Jones, has created a huge backlash and has been condemned by everyone from Angelina Jolie to Gen. Petraeus. While I understand some of the concerns raised by the critics of DOC and pastor Jones, I'm also suspicious of those critics considering most of them are left-of-center.

Dove Outreach Center wants to burn Korans on September 11. I don't know what the church's motive is but if it's to expose the glaring hypocrisy of liberals and Muslims, especially the ones who support the Ground Zero (GZ) mosque, I think the church succeeded.

Think about it.

Every since the GZ mosque controversy erupted liberal and Muslim supporters of the mosque have posed themselves as gallant defenders of the Constitutional right to freedom of religion. They've insisted that religious freedom absolutely overrides the hurt feelings of Americans who are insulted by a symbol of Islam being built near the place where Muslims slaughtered their loved ones and fellow citizens. Yet, when it comes to the Koran burning these same liberals and Muslims aren't nearly so zealous and absolutist in defending another Constitutional right: the right to freedom of speech. Why not?

Is it due to the Left's corrupt "anti-racism" which says that any criticism of non-White people, which most Muslims are, can only come from hate? Or is it because of the Left's equally corrupt idea of appeasement which insists that we must brown nose Muslims even to the point of restricting certain freedoms so they'll like us and stop wanting to kill us? I think it's both.

In the "anti-racist", appeasement wracked, PC world of the Left the hurt feelings of Americans are irrelevant to the right of Muslims to practice freedom of religion, but the hurt feelings of Muslims trump the right of Americans to practice freedom of expression. Instead of a climate of hate coming from "Islamophobes", the real problem is liberals and Muslims creating a CLIMATE OF REPRESSION where our freedoms are stifled if Muslims find them in any way offensive.

I understand the dangers inherent in burning Mohammed's book. I share the concern that it could lead to reprisals against our troops BUT, in light of the context outlined above, I must come down on the side of BURN, BABY, BURN! Muslims need to realize that sensitivity, tolerance, and Constitutional freedoms work BOTH ways. If Muslims insist on exercising their undisputed right to religious freedom in a grossly insensitive way, then they have no right to expect sensitivity from non-Muslims when exercising their Constitutional rights.

I know that burning a Koran insults Muslims; I get it. I get that burning any book is almost always an expression of disgust with the book's content and/or author(s). But this is America and her citizens have the right to express disgust with ideas by torching the books--or CD's, flags or anything else--that contain or symbolize those ideas. If Muslims want to live in America and invoke her Constitutional freedoms in their own defense, then they must accept those same freedoms giving voice to disgust with or opposition to their faith. If they can't deal with that then I hear the Kingdom--and I don't mean the magic one--is nice this time of year. And the liberals can go there, too.

But What About The Children?

Today in Afghanistan the Taliban killed eight American soldiers with roadside bombs, helping to make this October the deadliest month for the US since the war began. This is sad, and my heart goes out to the soldiers' families, but on Fox News I learned that some Afghan civilians, including children, were also killed in these attacks. Now my question is this: where are all the peace activists and Muslims who always raise a hue and cry when ever children are killed by Americans?

Muslims and their left-wing, "anti-war" allies, opposed the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan largely because of supposed concern over the fate of civilians, especially children. In order to ensure the safety of civilians, and to ass kiss the Muslim world, Barack Obama has instituted idiotic rules of engagement for our brave troops in Afghanistan. Put simply, our ground forces are not, repeat NOT, allowed to call in air support if civilians are in the area. You don't need a Phd to know that, in order to protect themselves, the Taliban will hide behind civilians, including children, as they attack our soldiers. But increasing the danger for our troops is apparently acceptable to our appeaser-in-chief. We must not give even the appearance of not caring about Muslim civilians, yet the Taliban kill Muslim children and the 'ummah is silent. And so are the pacifists.

This silence reveals the truth about the Muslims and the "pacifists". They are NOT against war, terrorism, or violence of any kind. What they are against is American power. For them, "peace" means "the absence of American power on the world stage", as conservative journalist Mark Steyn aptly put it. Any act of violence whose goal is to obstruct or defeat American power is acceptable to Muslims and the Left. And the killing of civilians, including children, is forgivable if said killings occur in pursuit of that goal. Civilian deaths are unforgivable only when they happen at the hands of Americans. For Muslims and the "anti-war" Left American power is the only evil in the world. They will effect any outrage necessary to contain or defeat it.

So, what about the children? Nothing, because Muslims and the Left have nothing to gain from making a fuss over Muslims killing Muslim children. Such killings don't arouse fierce opposition to American power. Muslim children were murdered today by Muslim fanatics and the Muslim world and its friends said nothing. And that speaks volumes.

Hate Mail!

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been away for a whole week. My writer's block still has a bit of a hold on me but I was going to write a post today if it killed me. I was going to write about the on going controversy over Barack Obama's pastor but I was sidetracked by a comment left on my post "Battle Hymn Of The Anti-Jihad!". I thought that post had seen it's last comment until I came across this pithy little missive while checking my e-mail: FUCK YOU FAT BITCH!!!!!!!!!!!

That's the exact quote friends, complete with all eleven--count 'em 11!--exclamation points. Clearly the author of this message, who didn't leave his/her/its name, had some strong feelings against anyone standing up to jihad. I strongly suspect he/she/it was either a Muslim or a liberal. Both groups vehemently oppose any criticism of or opposition to Islam. But why? Why does opposing Mohammed's religion usually elicit nasty rebukes like the one above?

Every since 9/11 I've been surprised, frightened, disappointed, and frusrated by the cowardice and even collaboration of so many Americans and Westerners in the face of violent Islam. After an intial outburst of patriotism and righteous anger immediately following September 11, most Americans have now retreated back into denial, self-condemnation, and self-doubt. As many as 30 per cent of us prefer to believe that the government had something to do with 9/11 rather than accept the fact that the attack was an act of war against us by Islam.

Criticism of Islam is denounced as racist, bigoted, and/or xenophobic. No matter what atrocities Muslim terrorists commit we're told by our cultural elites and opinion makers that Islam is a religion of peace. We're told that poverty, not religion, is the cause of Muslim terrorism despite the glaring fact that the teeming masses of non-Muslim poor aren't strapping bombs to themselves. We see the archbishop of Canterbury caving to Sharia law in Britain and universities in America doing the same. We see all this and still tell ourselves that everthing is ok.

We see Pim Fortuyn assassinated by an animal rights activists angry over Fortuyn's "scapegoating" of Muslims and we convince ourselves it happened because we aren't tolerant enough of Islam. We see Theo van Gogh, another Dutch critic of Islam, sliced and diced on the streets of Amersterdam and we draw the same delusional conclusion. Never mind that van Gogh also criticized Christianity and Judaism but wasn't murdered by a Christian or a Jew. We see other critics of Islam such as Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Irshad Manji, Salman Rushdie, and Kurt Westergaard going into hiding or living under armed guard to protect themselves from peaceful Muslims. We see "blasphemous" cartoons or a toy named Mohammed inciting more violent protests from "moderate" Muslims than the murder, by Muslims, of non-Muslim civilians.

We see all of the above and more, yet continue to tell ourselves that all is well. Muslims really don't mean us any harm and the ones that might can be easily appeased. We just have to show them more tolerance, let them build more mosques, let them continue immigrating to our lands, let them proselytize, change our foreign policy to reflect their grievances and, above all, ditch our racist notion of free speech which allows people to criticize Islam without penalty. If we do all this the sun will always shine, God will be in His heaven, and everything will be right with the world. Yeah, right.

We are commiting cultural suicide in the name of peace and tolerance. Our corrupt "anti-racism" and unprincipled pacifism have convinced us that we are the problem, that our white, Western, Christian civilization is the fount from which all racism, imperialism, colonialism and war springs. Islam, on the other hand, is deemed benign simply because its followers are overwhelmingly non-Western and non-white. Consequently, the demise of our civilization through Islamification is seen not only as a good thing but the hope of humanity. Sound farfetched? Maybe, but I can think of no other explanation that fits the fact of the West's spineless capitulation to violent Islam. If anyone has a better explanation I'd like to hear it, but I don't think you do.

Cartoon Madness

Hi friends! It's been a while just like I said it would, but I've got some time on my lunch break to post so here goes!

It seems I've heard nothing since I've been offline but all the news about Muslims rioting over some amateurish cartoons about Muhammad. This makes me sick. Muslims apparently feel the cartoons are disrespectful to Muhammad in particular and Islam in general, yet do they really think they're going to encourage respect for their religion and prophet by going nuts over some cartoons? And shouldn't the respect go both ways?

"Respect us! Respect our prophet!" Muslims demand without showing the slightest inclination to respect the West and its values, chief among which is freedom of expression. In a free society you're going to hear and see things you don't like, things that offend you. The proper response is to counter the offending info with your own views and let the market place of ideas decide who wins. You don't go on rampages destroying property and killing people. Does Islam so corrode the brain that Muslims don't understand that?

Denmark is not a Muslim country. It's people are not a Muslim people, consequently it's naive at best and imperalistic at worst to expect them to act according to Islamic law/values. Muslims ought to be concerned with the behaviour of fellow Muslims. The terror attacks on 9/11, the beheading of civilian hostages in Iraq, the "honor" killing of rape victims, the suicide bombings of buses, hotels, and other civilian targets, and the utter silence of the Muslim world in the face of these atrocities bring far more dishonor on, and create more disrespect toward, Islam than any cartoon ever could. Think about that, Muslims.

Sir Winston Churchill on Islam

I found this quote on the blog Slantright; it was copied from Qando Blog. The quote is from Curchill's 1899 book, 'The River War". See what the greatest leader of the 20th century had to say about Islam, before the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Chechneya, Bosnia, Kosovo, and the other problems modern Muslims say are the cause of Muslim terrorism.

"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property where ever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property--either as child, wife, or concubine--must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.

Individual Muslims may show spendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen; all know how to die; but the influence of the religion paralyses social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science--the science against which it had vainly struggled--the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome."

War on Islam? Bah! Humbug!

Like a lot of people since 9/11, I've been wondering what makes Islamic terrorists tick. The recent arrests in Italy of three Algerian martyr wannabes again brought this question to my immediate attention. The Algerians wanted to pull off a series of attacks that would dwarf 9/11. Why? From the chatter on the news, blogs, and elsewhere, it seems that Islamic terrorists believe there's a war on Islam and the primary aggressor is America. I know, the idea's hilarious to rational Americans and Westerners, but is passionately believed by a huge segment of the Muslim world.

So what's the evidence for this alleged war on Muhammad's faith? Israel, and America's support for it, is exhibit A. No matter what you're talking about, it always comes back to Israel and the Palestinians. The mistreatment of the Palestinians is all the proof many Muslims need for the existence of an anti-Islamic crusade. The only problem with this scenario is that not all Palestinians are Muslims. A small minority are Christians, yet Israel's occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip is never referred to as a war on Christianity. But even if all Palestinians were Muslims their occupation by Israel could hardly be called a war on Islam.

Palestinians probably make up less than 1% of the entire Muslim population. And their area of conflict with Israel occupies a negligible amount of the world's predominately Muslim land. So even if you believe that Israel is guilty of the worst atrocities against the Palestinians, such atrocities would have no impact on the ability of non-Palestinian Muslims to practice their faith.
Sure, many non-Palestinian Muslims feel a lot of sympathy for their co-religionists in the West Bank and Gaza, but they can't honestly claim that what's happening there is preventing them from being fully Muslim. Foam at the mouth all you want about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, it's still flimsy evidence for a war on Islam.

Another complaint from radical Muslims is that Western, especially American, culture is taking over their culture. War on Islam! Not! It's true that American pop culture dominates the world, but that's because people want it. There wouldn't be a McDonald's on virtually every corner in virtually every city in the world if people weren't buying Big Macs and McNuggets. If people in Muslim countries want to listen to Eminem, then American record companies are going to supply them with Eminem cd's. It's not a war on Islam or any other religion; it's supply and demand. Muslim parents, and other adults, have only themselves to blame if their kids want American music, movies, video games, etc. Their children's desire exposes their failure to teach them Muslim values and that's an internal Muslim problem, not an American pop culture industry problem. And it sure as hell ain't a war.

Face it, terrorists. THERE'S NO WAR ON ISLAM. Across the Islamic world, from the Sahara to Southeast Asia, Muslims practice their faith without interference from Americans or any other Westerners. Indeed, the West bends over backwards to pander to Muslim sensibilities. Since 9/11, America has let in thousands of Muslim immigrants and George W. Bush still pushes his "Islam is a religion of peace" line. London Muslims are now building the largest mosque in England. In many circles, it's considered racist to even hint that Muslims might be responsible for their own problems, while hating America, the West, and/or Israel is seen as the height of progressive thought. But there's a war on Islam. No, there's a war BY Islam on America and the West, a war which we'd better wake up to before we lose our civilization to a Sharia dark age. Wake up, America! Wake up, Europe! The war is on us.

Oh! The Desecration!

First the Koran, now dead bodies.

In our heroic war on terror, American soldiers have once again been accused of doing something Muslims don't like. It seems an Australian news crew filmed some of our boys burning the corpses of two dead Taliban fighters after they were killed in an ambush. The image was picked up by cable news channels, and now Muslims are mad. Cry me a river.

If we would just remember, it was the Taliban who harbored Osama ben Laden and Al-Quaida in Afghanistan, giving them ample space to set up camps were the 9/11 killers, and other Islamic terrorists, were trained. The Taliban were also the nice people who outlawed education and employment for girls and women, carried out public executions for adultery, required Afghanistan's few non-Muslims to wear identifying badges on their clothes, and even outlawed kites. In short, these people were NUTS! So if our boys got a little carried away and burned a couple of their dead bodies, so what? SO WHAT?

The Koran may forbid cremation, but Americans aren't governed by the Koran. And if cremation is really so offensive to Muslims, why do so many of them support the 9/11 attacks and virtually worship the attackers? I mean, weren't the terrorists cremated when they slammed the planes full of jet fuel into their targets? Not only did the murderers commit suicide, but they did it in a way that assured that their bodies would burn. The terrorists were cremated by their own hands, yet they are heros throughout the Muslim world. And Muslims are offended by cremation? Please!

It's time we stopped being so damned sensitive about Muslims' feelings. We didn't win World War II by bending over backwards not to offend the Germans' cultural sensibilities. We were thinking about the value of American lives, not Japanese lives, when we made the decision to drop the bomb. We understood we were in a fight for our very survival, and we did what it took to win.

We are in another war for our very survival. Islamic fundamentalist terrorists want nothing less than an Islamic world governed by the brutal dictates of Sharia law, where non-Muslims must pay protection money called the jizya tax, or face forced conversion or death.

If this is the world you want, then march on to the drum beats of Michael Moore and Cindy Sheehan. Clamor with the ACLU for more pictures of Abu Ghraib. Demand a virtual lynching of any American soldier who violates the pettiest of Islamic social rules. Do all these things, and Sharia will one day rule the world.

I don't want that horrible, horrible world. Islamic imperialism must be stopped. And if it takes a few cremated Muslims to stop it, I say, "Burn, baby, burn!"

Allah's Judgment?

It seems nature hasn't joined the jihad after all.

If you recall, some jihadists claimed that hurricane Katrina had joined the jihad against America after the devastation of that storm became front page news. Now, after the horrible earthquake that struck Muslim Pakistan on Saturday, the jihadists have to reconsider just whose side Allah is really on.

Yes, hurricane Katrina hurt America, but America is a rich nation and can absorb the losses inflicted by the storm. Surely, if Allah wanted to punish America, he would've sent a far worse catastrophe on her. Instead, he sent that catastrophe on Muslim Pakistan. How do the jihadists explain that?

The earthquake has killed at least 30,000 Muslims in Pakistan, the worst natural disaster in the nation's history. Maybe that had something to do with the kind of Islam popular in the country. It's the Islam that sympathizes with Osama Ben Laden, known to be hiding in Pakistan. It's the Islam of militant madrassas teaching religious hatred to thousands of innocent children. It's the Islam that sanctions "honor" killings of rape victims. It's the Islam that is utterly intolerant of "unIslamic" thought. In short, it's the jihadists' Islam.

Perhaps this earthquake will make many Muslims think. America is supposed to be the Great Satan, yet her natural disaster took less than 1,000 lives. The "pure", Islamic nation of Pakistan, on the other hand, was hit with hell on earth. If the murderous fundamentalism preached by so many imams, and coming out of so many mosques, is what Allah really wants, the earthquake is a strange reward indeed. Hopefully, thinking Muslims will see the spiritual inconsistency in this tragedy, and start to seriously question what's happening in, and to, their faith. The jihadists' Islam was rewarded with death and destruction. May the lesson be deeply learned.
