Quotable Quotes: On Self-Defense

This may be more of a paraphrase than an exact quote, but the point is nonetheless well made.

No rightful government would EVER seek to rein in self-defense, as that is an innate and inalienable right to every self-owning individual.
In other words, outlawing self-defense, is in effect, making self-ownership illicit and illegal, which no government has the right to do.
Any authority that would seek to limit a sovereign individual's self-ownership is, by its very nature, an illegitimate authority.
