But What About The Children?

Today in Afghanistan the Taliban killed eight American soldiers with roadside bombs, helping to make this October the deadliest month for the US since the war began. This is sad, and my heart goes out to the soldiers' families, but on Fox News I learned that some Afghan civilians, including children, were also killed in these attacks. Now my question is this: where are all the peace activists and Muslims who always raise a hue and cry when ever children are killed by Americans?

Muslims and their left-wing, "anti-war" allies, opposed the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan largely because of supposed concern over the fate of civilians, especially children. In order to ensure the safety of civilians, and to ass kiss the Muslim world, Barack Obama has instituted idiotic rules of engagement for our brave troops in Afghanistan. Put simply, our ground forces are not, repeat NOT, allowed to call in air support if civilians are in the area. You don't need a Phd to know that, in order to protect themselves, the Taliban will hide behind civilians, including children, as they attack our soldiers. But increasing the danger for our troops is apparently acceptable to our appeaser-in-chief. We must not give even the appearance of not caring about Muslim civilians, yet the Taliban kill Muslim children and the 'ummah is silent. And so are the pacifists.

This silence reveals the truth about the Muslims and the "pacifists". They are NOT against war, terrorism, or violence of any kind. What they are against is American power. For them, "peace" means "the absence of American power on the world stage", as conservative journalist Mark Steyn aptly put it. Any act of violence whose goal is to obstruct or defeat American power is acceptable to Muslims and the Left. And the killing of civilians, including children, is forgivable if said killings occur in pursuit of that goal. Civilian deaths are unforgivable only when they happen at the hands of Americans. For Muslims and the "anti-war" Left American power is the only evil in the world. They will effect any outrage necessary to contain or defeat it.

So, what about the children? Nothing, because Muslims and the Left have nothing to gain from making a fuss over Muslims killing Muslim children. Such killings don't arouse fierce opposition to American power. Muslim children were murdered today by Muslim fanatics and the Muslim world and its friends said nothing. And that speaks volumes.

Seane Anne, It as you said doesn't matter if they do it.....I don't tend to understand the Arabic mind and way of life. I have shaked my head many times wondering what they come from and come up with no answers that can satisfy my curiousity....stay well.....

On September 24,th, I said the same thing with:
This is What happens when we elect someone who has no clue…..

What happens when we pick a Clueless Coward Kid for President?

What happens is what we got now. Our nation is going bankrupt daily, with the national debt being quadrupled in the short time that Obama has been in office. Our enemies, and yes we have enemies Obama, are all rubbing their hands together in gleeful anticipation of your continued weakening of America, while we are at war. And here is my advice for you Mr. Obama. You will never see a woman “sort of” pregnant. If she is pregnant she is 100% pregnant. That is the same analogy that you have to use for being at war. You cannot be “sort of” at war, and expect to be anything but losers. And this is just like being pregnant. It is one of those things that you can’t be a little bit of. But of course….the naive little clueless boy that we have residing in the White House thinks so. And even though we can’t be just a little bit at war, that is what we are doing. That is what lost us Vietnam folks, and that is what is going to lose us this war too.

Ralph Peters, who writes for the New York Post, has made me understand what Obama and his administration is doing to our brave young soldiers that are in harms way.
Peters says this: “When enemy action kills our troops it’s unfortunate. But when our own moral fectlessness murders those in uniform, it’s unforgivable.

Mission-focused, but morally oblivious, Gen. Stan McChrystal conformed to the Obama Way of War by imposing rules of engagement that could have been concocted by Code Pink:

* Unless our troops in combat are absolutely certain that no civilians are present, they’re denied artillery or air support.

* If any civilians appear where we meet the Taliban, our troops are to “break contact” — to retreat.

These ROE are a cave-in to the Taliban’s shameless propaganda campaign that claimed innocents were massacred every time our aircraft appeared overhead. (Afghan President Mohammed Karzai and our establishment media backed the terrorists.) Imagine that!
The Taliban’s goal was to level the playing field — to deny our troops their technological edge. Our enemies more than succeeded.”

Thankfully you said this too. It bears repeating. We cannot win a war with Rules of Engagement like this, when the enemy doesn't do the same. Thanks for saying it again my friend, and you said it so much better than I did.

Actually, where is our media in reporting civilian casualties of these attacks? Shows me what agenda these "news organizations" actually have.
