God Bless The Tea Parties!

Well, today is tax day and I wasn't disappointed. Tea Party rallies were held all over the country just like last year, clearly demonstrating that this unjustly maligned movement is not just standing firm but gaining ground.

I didn't get to attend the local rally like I did in '09. I had to get my car fixed after I got off work. Also, the local rally wasn't held in my city but in a nearby suburb that I hardly ever visit. As I don't like to drive around unfamiliar places after dark, I probably wouldn't have gone to this year's rally even if my car hadn't been an issue. I'm thrilled, though, that millions of other Americans DID get to participate in the movement and make their voices heard.

I love the Tea Party movement. The people involved are the salt of the earth. They have, as stated above, been unjustly maligned. They have been smeared, trashed, mocked, derided, vilified, and demonized. The lame stream media has denounced them. Democratic officials have denounced them. Yet, despite all the hate and opposition the Tea Partiers have persevered, becoming the epitome of resolve, principle, and grassroots activism. They aren't burning the flag. They aren't demonizing our troops. They aren't chanting they want to kill the president, nor are they hanging anyone in effigy. They're simply using their God given right to speak out against criminal levels of fiscal irresponsibility and unconstitutional governmental expansion.

The Tea Party movement has it right. Spending is out of control and government is getting too big to be compatible with liberty. If that straight forward message is deemed hateful or racist by liberals then that only shows their intellectual bankruptcy. Tea Partiers have nothing to fear from those people. They should ignore them and keep on fighting for America to have a free and solvent future. They WILL do that, and that's why I love them and their movement.

God bless the Tea Parties!

God bless the Tea Partiers!

God bless America!

What you said ;-)

Funny thang here: when Dubya was prez, the Left kept making the claim that "dissent is the highest form of patriotism", and attributing it to Jefferson (they apparently meant George, 'cuz the famous one didn't say it). But NOW, dissent to the Left is RACISM!

I've been to two tea parties myself, and I have seen the diversity and haven't heard anything racist, EXCEPT from the Left, where true racism is alive and well, and always has been alive and well.

But that's okay by me; a failed ideology, clinging to one of it's seminal failings (along with lies, deceit and populated with under-educated morons), is fine to be opposed by.

hey Skunky, I have been to two of them too. The last one, only a month or so ago, we had a peaceful and great party, with Congressman Mike Pence giving one of the speeches. The people were great. The one yesterday I missed because I was still at work....darn....but at the last one, there were some lefties protesting at the side trying to drown out the tea partiers...and when they couldn't, they got mad.....funny....we just laughed at them....and carried on our peaceful protest of what the government is doing to this country. I agree that the tea partiers are great and God bless them all...and God Bless this country.

Yeah, the two Tea Parties I went to, a small handful of lefties showed up at the first one, and got pissed 'cuz they couldn't shout down or incite the Tea Partiers to act as stupid as they were. At the second one TWO protestors showed up, saw about 1200 folks willing to stand in the cold rain to listen to conservatism on parade, packed up and left ;)

Slow to question, Why hasn't the rest of the MSM followed the tea party protesters and reported honestly on what was happening in this country???????Just who owns these other machines??????...Never entered my head before....We've heard about msnbc, but how about the rest of them.....I guess I'm wondering who's pulling the strings???
