I'm grateful for my family.
I'm grateful for my mother, who always has my back even when I don't deserve it.
I'm grateful for my sister who's my best friend.
I'm grateful for my brother who always makes me laugh.
I'm grateful for my uncle who knows how to encourage me and strengthen my faith just when I need it.
I'm grateful for my niece who reminds me life is beautiful.
I'm grateful for my nephew who inspires me to write.
I'm grateful for my great-niece who keeps me young and whose innocence inspires me to fight for the preservation of our culture's time-honored values.
I'm grateful for my friends who are true lights in the darkness.
I'm grateful I live in a country where, for now, at least, I can speak my mind, practice my faith, and live my life as I choose with little fear of persecution, imprisonment, or death.
And finally, as a cancer survivor, I'm just grateful to be here, to see another holiday, to be alive.
God is good!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
"The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left." Eccl. 10:2, NIV. God has spoken. To the right is wisdom, honor, strength, and truth. To the left is...not. I know which way my heart leans. How about yours?

Happy Veteran's Day!
I know this is a day late--late hours at work then Bible study kept me from getting online yesterday--but here's my sincerest shout out to all the veterans of this greatest nation on God's green earth: THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SERVICE! We are the land of the free because of the brave: YOU! God bless you all! HOOAH!!!!
