Upset In Kennedyland

I was wrong. Massachusetts has shown that it's NOT too blue to do the right thing.

In an upset almost as historic as the election of Barack Obama, Massachusetts--home of the Kennedys and the bluest state in the Union (with the possible exception of Vermont)--elected Republican Scott Brown to the Senate seat left vacant by Ted Kennedy's death.

I can't believe this. Neither can the Dems. They've just watched their filibuster proof majority vanish and their great hope for health care "reform" right along with it. That's just too cool.

It's late and I'm tired, so this will be it for the election right now. I will go to bed with the estatic sentiments of my blogging friend Angel ringing in my ears: Woohoo! We got Massachusetts!

We damn sure did!

Not sure what the first gobbledygook said, but I am enjoying this. New Jersey, Virginia, and now the Peoples' Republic of Massachusetts.

A message has been sent. And I'm hearing that a lot of libtards still don't get it.

Come on, November ;)

Oh, to be a fly on the wall at the DNC and the White House this morning (not to mention certain Democratic leader's offices).

Seane-Anna,
Last night said so much, on so many levels, about so many things. If only Ted Kennedy could have lived to see it.
There's nothing quite like the sound of liberals crapping their pants in unison.

"There's nothing quite like the sound of liberals crapping their pants in unison." LMAO! Ain't that the truth, Roadie!

It was/IS a staggering upset and a deserved one.

Martha Coakley ran a McCainesque....even Bidenesque campaign.

But the majority of the Bay Staters polled said the ballooning national debt, the healthcare abomination and excessive government drove them to vote for the Conservative Scott Brown.

Conservatives have been 3 for 3 in the major races of 2009 - Virginia's first sweep of the top 3 spots in over 25 years, New Jersey's stunning ouster of entrenched and well-funded Jon Corzine and now THIS....Scott Brown trounces the Dems handpicked candidate in the most liberal state in the nation!

Astounding!

And through it all, Seane-Anna's fav libtard, Janeycakes, has been silent! (Not so) amazing!

Ah, throw a lure past a tree stump in a pond, and sooner or later, something bites.

Heerrrrrrrrrrrrreeeee's Janeycakes, with her pin-headed, unAmerican drivel. Janeycakes, your Messiah has been trying to keep the money funnel open from China, so he can spend like a drunken marxist, to dupe Americans into a dependency class and enhance his socialist/marxist power. Voters in Virginia, NJ and Massachusetts have rejected his and your nonsense. So I understand your outrage at having your ideology panned and rejected by people smarter than you choose to be.

And Janeycakes, I was gonna say congrats on finally opening your own blog to vent on; but it's like your arguments...empty and void of anything. Literally ;)

you just don't give a shit do you SF? The Supreme Court decided that corporations can spend unlimited amounts of money for campaigns. Presidential candidates will literally be bought and sold yet all you can think about is personal attacks on me and nonsensical connections to Barack Obama.

You're vicious and arrogant. You will see the end of this nation just like the various empires before it if you don't wake up and realize how dangerous the Republican authoritarians are to this country.

Its not socialism or communism that is infecting this nation, but the plutocratic principles of the conservative base. This will turn out to be the straw that broke the camel's back. mark my words.

SF,

do you even understand what you are saying when you write "marxist power" among the other crap? To me it seems you are trying to repeat fox news analysts rather poorly. You have given up your own right to think and so has your movement as evidenced by its backing of SCOTUS's disastrous decision.

Jane, I thought you had your own blog. However, when I click on your name all I get is a all but empty profile page. What gives?

Republicans have turned America into a fascist nation? Gimme a break! Jane, your lunacy is showing!

Janeycakes, for as long as there have been nations money has greased the political wheels. That's not a good thing but it's hardly a fascist thing. The Supreme Court's decision may protect freedom of speech or just facilitate special interest buy outs of candidates. But whatever its effect it WON'T make fascism break out all over America.

Get a grip girl!

Jane,
Can you explain to the class why an American citizen who happens to own a corporation is exempt from his/her first amendment rights? Where does the constitution say that you can only criticise your government in a public forum if you fall below a certain income?

If the head of a corporation does not have the right to speak out in public, then neither do you.

Skunkfeathers said...

Jane, you've overdone the glue sniffing to a point where your irrationality had taken over full grip.

Corporations and unions were spending on campaigns like drunken sailors BEFORE McCain-Feingold; after McC-F, they just had to get more creative, so they did with the abomination 527s. Now, we're back to the way it was. You call that fascism, and you think I'm off base about your love of and lust for a marxist philosophical takeover of the US by the morons you support and bow to?

Jane...the time you were gone from here should have been spent growing a few more brain cells. Really.

And we ain't a democracy, Janeycakes; read along with me: we're...a...constitutional representative republic, with democratic institutions. I know that's a helluva lot of syllables for you to digest, but it's just a point for you to try to get right, among the many you get dog-wrong.

And I'll take Fox News over your fading indoctrinaires at MSNBC and the capsizing Air(head) 'Merica.

Seane-Anna, I think you can say your newly-renovated blog is formally broken-in ;-)

Jane is one of those that JUST DOES NOT GET IT. her comment, "Congratulations Republicans you have officially turned this into a fascist nation. The conservative members of the Supreme Court have voted to strip away our democracy in favor of a plutocracy. Thanks Bush I, II, and Reagan!" tells us that they cannot see that they are the facsists not the Conservatives. Everything that her precious OBAMA is trying for is fascism to the max. And yet, the Janes of the world don't see it. They must have a huge pair of blinders on to not see that what the liberals are doing is destroying this nation, and that the Republicans are finally standing up for this country and doing the right thing. The first time since Reagan. Great post my friend. I love it when the libtards come out and show their lack of intelligence.
